I came home all excited
Couldn’t wait to tell her all about it
The company had offered me the best salary of my life
The offer had only one drawback
We had to move to accept the contract
And she tried to seem supportive
But it tore her up inside

1506088_10152136659582844_1280737733753676848_oWe talked about the kids and schools
And the adjustment it would be
She took some time to think it through
And then she said to me

“Let’s go chase your dreams one more time
If we find yours, I’ll have mine
I’m gonna miss my friends
Gonna miss my family, too
But I’ll go anywhere with you”

Then she said…
“What you’re saying sure sounds good
I can see why you think we should
Throw our caution to the wind
And just pack up and leave
I’ve lived my whole life in this old town
Lot of deep roots we’ve put down
And I know you realize
Just what you’re asking me”

Then as a tear gently ran down her face
She said, “You know, I’m gonna really miss this place”

“But let’s go chase your dreams one more time
If you find yours I’ll have mine
As long as we’re together
Our love will see us through
I’ll go anywhere with you”

I took a walk through town alone
I never felt so much at home
And suddenly I realized money just can’t buy
Happiness for you and I

And I said…
“How could my dreams be so blind
‘Cause if you have yours, I’ll have mine
As long as we’re together
Our love will see us through
Cause I’d live anywhere
As long as you are there
I’m happy anywhere with you”
